Liberals will ignore the entire past century of anticommunist activities they’ve been engaged in and be like, “How can you be so hostile to your allies?” 😭 Not sure if you assholes have noticed, but this country is in deep shit because socialists have repeatedly trusted you and been betrayed!

On the Starfish book! Alex says she doesn't understand why Cassie is so hostile to Nice Rachael and I have a suggestion; Cassie sees way too much of herself in Nice Rachael and she hates what it says about her and how she views herself so she just wants it to go away

Really enjoyed this interview and it's refreshing that the journalist says she doesn't agree with all of my politics but still engages with the ideas.

You don't have to agree with me on everything. Just the basics: it's time to make hope normal again.

Zack Polanski: I thought what Keir Starmer said about me was vile
Green leader Zack Polanski is taking the fight to Labour with his brand of eco-populism — but while he’s riding high in the polls, do his economic policies really stack up?

Pressure building on govt to come clean about Mandelson's role in bringing US spy-tech firm Palantir into the heart of our NHS.

The fingerprints of Mandelson and his lobbying firm are all over these deals.

The rot goes to the heart of this Labour govt

Labour literally stopped publishing their membership numbers because they were tanking so badly and so consistently for so long. If this is true it's not because people love Starmer but want to be able to pick his replacement.
Politico: The average number of members who usually join the Labour Party each month have signed up in the past 24 hours, most of them citing support for the PM as a reason for joining.

They dug into the backgrounds of every even remotely Left wing MP to find dirt on them to kick them out, it's not surprising they'd do it to the press as well.
If this is true, then it is beyond sinister and shows the levels of toxicity and poisonous factionalism that some in the party have created.

Questions must be asked and answers must be given.

Last September, Keir Starmer told the Commons that he had “full confidence” in Peter Mandelson.

Well, the public has no confidence in him.

He must resign.

I keep saying it, the worse it gets for Starmer the more James O'Brien will do 2 things:

- Rave about how Starmers actually brilliant and the press are out to get him

- Talk sh*t about Jeremy Corbyn
James O'Brien using his show today to call Starmer a "good man" who's done "a list of good things" and not a liar like Boris Johnson lol.

This dude is as bad as GB News tbh

This is an awful look for James O’Brien.

Justifying these Starmer scandals because of what has gone before with Johnson is very optically footballification.

If he didn’t like corruption he’d be lobbying the government for elections to be run through the taxpayer.

A far more articulate breakdown than I can muster on why people like James O'Brien rub me the wrong way so badly;
🧵Today, James O’Brien crossed a moral line

By conflating Corbyn supporters with sympathisers of Iran’s murderous regime, he indulged in one of the oldest & cruellest tactics of the establishment: guilt by association

It is a falsehood that shuts down debate & smears dissent

4)dragged Britain through Brexit, austerity, & the dismantling of truth itself

What O’Brien & his admirers never seemed to recognise is that the so-called “realism” they prized was merely cowardice in a better suit

The irony is brutal

The fall of Corbyn, whom O’Brien helped to delegitimise..

"Starmer can't resign because there's nobody else in the party the public can get behind"

Yeah, weird how anyone who could have replaced Starmer has either been pushed out or kicked out of the party. Just coincidence after coincidence.
February 6, 2026 at 7:45 AM
A lot of Libs are falling on this argument of "Well Mandelson was a creep but his appointment made sense because he knows how to move in those circles, so we can't judge Starmer too harshly".

No, it's like sending a drug addict to negotiate with drug dealers. Of course he'd immediately sell us out.

@animorphsanonymous.bsky.social I'm now on book 31 (Jake's great grandpa dies and Toms panicking about being away from candrona too long) and it's now my head canon that Jake's dad knows Toms a Yerk but can't say anything because that's technically a medical condition and he's bound by HIPAA.

Imagine trying to shit talk people who undermined Starmer now of all weeks. I'm glad she F*cked him around, looks like damage control to me.
Also Maskell: "Let’s rebel at every given opportunity against Starmer and the manifesto - thanks to which I got into Parliament - so hard that I was suspended for six months. And after Starmer gave me the whip back, I just carried on undermining my Labour government."
February 5, 2026 at 7:16 PM
If someone in the UK media really wanted to make a name for themself they'd do a compilation of all the journalists who said Starmer hiring Mandelson was a smart move and play it next to the clips of them now asking about how anyone could be so stupid as to hire him given his obvious connections.
