I like this, but if that's the case I'd like LSS to focus more on improving the casual appeal of the game. The game really is designed and marketed to be enjoyed by competitive players, and the casual formats being so far removed from the competitive ones feels like a mistake.

I sure *could* play the midrange fatigue Riptide list and try to nickel and dime my way into a win over 20 turns.

OR I could play Oscilio, wrap my hand firmly around the slots lever, close my eyes, and pull, and hope to see the right combination of GiaF and instants to win on turn 2.

Yeah fair enough, I also think that the change makes RF ea arts of heroes being offered as prizing for RTNs and PQs actually means something, which is cool because they were kinda worthless previously, even just from a cool factor perspective

This is the same point of view I held initially, but it was mentioned to me by locals running L2P events at cons that one of the main criticisms of the game was that it was hard to read the hero abilities, so I assume this was made as an accessibility change, which I think is fine.

@fabtcg.com does this mean that people not grinding out 7 armories a week are going to be less likely to receive event invites? Is this going to be replacing the Elo system when it leaves like JW said? I'm hoping this is additional invites and not the default way of getting invited to events...
