My car was hit (while parked) by an uninsured driver. They tore the entire front bumper off and ran over it. My insurance deductible is $2,500 + $800 for the rental I got while I was still running under the assumption that the insurance information that was given to me was valid.

There’s nothing my partner (who is the nearly the same exact height as me) gets more of a kick out of than calling me short, and there’s nothing I get more of a kick out of than calling that very same partner, who is just over two years my senior, old.

Sure, I can manage working full time, being in grad school, being a single parent, being in a play, having two romantic partnerships, two cats, dozens of house plants, and being in two wedding parties all at once.
However, yes, I also do need to remind myself to pee before getting in bed.

I saw this meme about like a parent of an adult child one day realizing that at some point, they picked up their child for the last time and didn’t even realize it, and it made me so sad I decided that as long as my kid still likes being picked up, I will continue picking them up.
