I had two grant proposals up for review in the NIH Bacterial Virulence (BV) study section. It was canceled without notice this morning.

ASM did a spotlight article on me last February and it has also been taken down as “under review”. Other spotlight articles are still up so not sure how else to interpret this besides the obvious. It feels pretty crappy to have been singled out and I won’t be engaging with them in the future.

I am excited to announce our latest publication! We teamed up with @khullahalli.bsky.social to barcode Klebsiella and ask basic questions about bacteremia pathogenesis: 1) how are bacteria shared between sites and 2) which host and bacterial factors influence dynamics?
