Tales of the Shire is being delayed until July 29th, 2025, multiple sources have confirmed with me. An official announcement is expected tomorrow, Friday, Feb 21 at 7am NZDT

i've run a few (extremely small in comparison ofc) events and so i understand that there's likely deals etc with providers yadiyada -- but at the same time, my first year there people were talking about how dangerous and prohibitive SF was getting, and it's only gotten worse!

This game truly was a "number 8 wire" example of kiwi ingenuity, and we rose to the challenge. It's the most raw talk I've done yet... so it took me a while to get around to sharing it.

i really want to return to the states! i have so many friends and awesome sights to see! i wouldn’t mind moving to seattle or boston!

but unless something changes in the near future im not going anywhere near it. i wouldn’t travel to 1930s germany, why tf would i go to the US now

look, i love gdc and have flown the 12 hrs for 8 years, but if it needs to stay in NA, it’s time to move it to canada. a rebrand doesn’t fix the inherent barriers.

internationals don’t want to risk their lives flying to an authoritarian country for something that could have been a zoom call.

also i have no stats on this but surely the games industry has one of the highest percentages of queer and trans folks. It was scary enough for friends to come over this year — many didn’t — they sure ain’t coming over now

battle recovered i should clarify due to addressing key issues and fixing as they went POST launch

emre spoke to multiple people involved — spoke to sony exec, spoke to directors at ea on that game, helldivers crew, valorant crew etc to confirm all the research and data!

they had the same issues as battlefield 2042 on launch. simply missed the mark on some core reqs:

- no pve
- no single player
- no way to earn premium in game currency
- restricted VOIP
and it launched premium with these issues. Nothing to do with the characters
