Politico is reporting Trump will name Dr. Ladapo of Florida to a senior spot, likely Surgeon General or Assistant HHS.

This would be a horrifying pick for trans people. He's responsible for Florida's adult trans ban, and works with SEGM/Anti-trans global movement.

He's also an ardent anti-vaxxer.

They never state what their own enlightened compromises are, or what deals theyre willing to cut that the left is apparently too morally righteous to endorse bc its almost always marginal ppl under the bus.

@govpritzker.illinois.gov needs to get off his ass, tell his head of state police the whole force needs to IMPEDE ICE from conducting their raids, and if he won't follow orders he'll be fired and replaced with someone who will do it.

Happening now: we're at the Broadview ICE facility outside Chicago.

CCSO + Broadview police are telling protesters + press they can't stand on the west side of 25th Street for any reason.

We asked what the precise public safety issue is. They just said they're anticipating cars coming through.

I don't think people understand that there's no political, legal, or electoral action that will stop ICE from continuing unabated for the next 3 years. None.

Trump's love of "high IQ people" is a dogwhistle for eugenics, for The Bell Curve type shit, it's not a synonym for "smart".

Even "eugenics" or "social darwinism" isn't widely understood as the use of pseudo-science to justify racism.

Sadly, we've lost the battle and anti-intellectualism won.

Because CNN doesn't do investigative journalism, they do ACCESS journalism. WH calls and says "take that out" they make it happen for fear of losing the "senior official told me", "an insider said", or "next up we talk to" access to the admin's mouthpieces.
