If you’re having trouble upgrading or paying your fare, contact Clipper Customer Service at (877-878-8883) or email [email protected]. Caltrain is aware customers are experiencing issues during this transition period.

Daily reminder that the primary benefit of railway electrification is not to reduce railway emissions.
It is to enable faster acceleration which reduces travel time and thereby increases frequency without adding operating cost.
That then attracts more riders and thereby more revenue.

the most common response I get these days from people when I tell them I commute on Caltrain is "wow that's so nice, the new trains are great" and it's honestly a point of pride.
