Great to see this. Window heat pumps are an excellent pathway to decarbonization of lower income housing.

I’m old enough to remember being an expert witness for EarthJustice to implement the Energy Storage Roadmap and mandate in 2014-15, the CPUC proceeding where we were literally defined what counted as “energy storage.” Wild to see how far we’ve come.
California has installed 17,000 MW of batteries connected to the electricity grid, up from 500 MW in 2020. 🔋🔌💡

Not good.
⚠️ NYS has agreed to hold off on implementing its All-Electric Buildings law — which was supposed to take effect on Jan 1 — while a federal appeals court reviews it.

Gas and builders groups + some building trades unions had appealed after the Northern District court upheld the law over the summer.

Two-thirds of California's power comes from clean energy.

For 9 in 10 days so far this year, we were 100% powered for some part of the day by clean energy.

The Golden State has become the world's fourth-largest economy because of our climate leadership, not in spite of it.
