Oh god yes. There are so many tourist and other high traffic areas all over London that could benefit from this.
Cramped footpaths no longer. Camden Council plans to pedestrianize the street in front of the British Museum.

'No one cycles in rain/winter' - strangely not something usual anti-cycling suspects say in London these days. 08:52, heavy rain, C6 shot from Holborn Viaduct. More cycles than track can cope with & than motor vehicles. Yet we still are struggling to get enough capacity. @londoncycling.bsky.social

Our local council rent out these great e-cargo bikes (pay per 15 mins, ~£5 per hour) which are so useful - this is from the weekend using it to take some bits to the local tip (which if you do by bike you don't need to book or queue for which is another benefit!)
