I’m so excited to share the results of our first ever Spin Rack Comics Jam! The theme we chose was “ghosts,” and everyone went different directions with it, so I’m looking forward to getting to read them all myself!

That's steep for me, but for people breaking in it seems incredibly high. And if you aren't breaking into the field, why pay for that?

I have some more detailed thoughts on this, but it really blows that SCBWI is so cost prohibitive. I've never pursued membership because of the cost, but if I did in order to join their digital conference to access the "put your portfolio in front of art directors" add on, I'd be out $300ish.
