This is a wonderful metaphor. The Titanic, like our economy & nation, was a superb well-built ship, but like the Trump admin those in charge recklessly drove it too fast through a field of icebergs despite the obvious danger & sent it to the bottom of the ocean, just like Trump is doing to the U.S.

My dream for the post-Trump backlash is that the USA signs the treaty that puts American administrations under the purview of the Hague when it comes to war crimes and crimes against humanity.
