As a 90s Star Trek fan who had to put up with a LOT of "DS9 isn't REAL STAR TREK!" I find it especially offensive when the twerps use DS9 to justify their hate campaigns against the new shows.

"DS9 established there are no female Jem'Hadar!"

I finished this & good lord y'all it was so fucking amazing. I laughed like a goofball repeatedly. The spones was unparalleled, the spuhura was also really naughty & horny, the aliens were super fun. Only complaint was that there was no Keenser 😭😭. Otherwise this was a superb book holy shit

Smith's Hendorff was killed by Klingons in a cut scene from INTO DARKNESS. The character returned for BEYOND and was killed by Krall. However, that scene and all of Smith's appearances in BEYOND were also deleted.

The reimagined Enterprise bridge was designed by Scott Chambliss to reflect the 1960s original TOS set by embracing the futuristic Googie style of architecture. The set deliberate references architect Eero Saarinen's TWA Flight Center built in 1959.

Filming the bridge at red alert, STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS (2013)
Aisha Hinds, Zachary Quinto, and John Cho on the bridge as the production crew films the "roly poly" sequence from in front of the viewsceeen. Aside from a few shots utilizing a rotating corridor set, the Enterprise crash sequence was filmed in classic STAR TREK tradition by shaking, tilting, and rotating the camera to simulate variable gravity inside the ship as it enters Earth's atmosphere.
