I just realized this. Jimmy Kimmel live was literally one of the only LA based talk shows left. That takes away all the publicity (and publicist work) for any movies, tv shows, music, books, etc on LA publicity circuit. Everything is in NY these days.

Was at a comedy show in LA last night with probably 8-10 comics, only one of them brought up Charlie Kirk. Afterwards he told me privately that he has never seen that before, generally at least a few comics will try some real time commentary. Nothing. All rewritten, all clearly terrified.

if you don't think the colbert/kimmel shit is going to affect every standup comic in the nation you're kidding yourself

going into open mic and making a maga joke could get the club targetted and you'd best believe club owners keep lists of comics they won't book anymore for any number of reasons

Here’s the thing: I want to support blue sky because it’s anti musk. But I didn’t enjoy twitter the first time around. I never understood the way the replies nested. It’s not a good presentation for visuals. I don’t think I use it right. Help 🥲
