I have obtained a copy of the Flood Advisory issued by Met Éireann to local authorities today showing an orange level flood risk for many parts of East and South. I cannot see why it is not made public as I believe it is in the public interest to share it so I am sharing it.

It truly is a barbaric, bloodthirsty regime.
Israel bill proposing death penalty for those it deems terrorists passes first reading
The requirement means the penalty would likely be used only against Palestinians convicted of deadly attacks on Israelis.

I'll miss Miggledy. He's been an outstanding president with his warmth and empathy for those less well off, the oppressed, and those facing discrimination and battling for equality. However, i'm sure Catherine Connolly will continue his great work and be another formidable Uachtarán.

Despite all the horrors that people remember today, leaders, including those who bow their heads lowest at Cenotaphs, push for ever more armaments, rattle their sabres ever more loudly, and hurtle us towards global conflict.

My Gt grandfather was killed at Colenso, South Africa. A great uncle died at Galipoli.
My maternal grandfather was royal navy in WW1, and on merchant convoys in WW2. An uncle fought with the American 1st division at Omaha, another was with the Austrailian navy. I dont need a poppy to remember them.

As people observe their remembrance Sunday today, it would do well to also remember fascism didn't end in 1940s. It continued in Europe well into the latter decades of the 20th century.
Sadly, and worryingly, it's raising its head again, including in those countries who sacrificed much to defeat it.
This is one of the first things I point to when people ask me about Franco's Spain. 6,000 mass graves in a country under 200,000 square miles (for reference: Texas is 260,000 square miles)

When a blood stained war monger like Cheney ( currently on route to hell), describes Trump as a danger, it kinda speak volumes for the threat the creosoted buffoon poses to us all.

Trump threatening Nigeria unless it protects 'cherished Christians'.
There is not a single true Christian aspect to the MAGA regime, given its horrible treatment of the poor, the sick, immigrants, and just about anyone who isn't white and super rich.
Indeed, Christ is likely to spit in their eyes.

Genocide in Palestine and the UN are helpless. Genocide in Sudan and the UN are helpless.
What is the point of the UN again?

Israel kills a few hundred Palestinian women and kids, the creosoted buffoon declares it's 'ceasefire' intact, Israel goes and kills a few hundred more, the horrific genocide continues. Seems this process was designed to trap the Palestinian people into a huge death camp, to be slaughtered at will.

Join me in Dublin on November 6th to discuss trade justice. The EU is trying to use the Trump tarrifs as an excuse to railroad through the #Mercosur deal and pressure Ireland to ratify #CETA with its corporate courts.

World's media (with a few exceptions), tech giants, energy companies, all owned by billionaires who seek to install fascist puppet governments across the globe, in order to slake their psychotic thirst for more profit. They will use any means, regardless of the cost to ordinary people, or the planet

Heather Humphreys, the losing candidate, showed more grace, and respect to the office of Uachtarán na hÉireann as she conceded defeat, that this petty excuse for a Taoiseach.
This is no longer the case, and the Taoiseach is now on his way to Dublin Castle for the declaration
The Taoiseach is not coming to Dublin Castle for the official declaration of Catherine Connolly's victory in the presidential election.

Whether intended or not, it's going to look very confrontational for the head of government NOT to be there to congratulate the new head of state

Well done Catherine Connolly and her campaign team. Delighted to see another progessive voice in the Áras, also to see the blue and green tories in government outraged and despondent
Hopefully she can now also use her office to push for the vote for all Irish citizens, including us in the north.
