I think I agree with both of you guys. The exhaust on this one also pushes up against the model in a weird way.
It looks pretty cool without the jumping effect and seems like it would all around be easier to paint and store.

Really wanted a Jade Hawk, so I picked up this set. Now I have to decide if I want the Jade Hawk to be permanently in jumping pose or not.

1980s #RalPartha original #Battletech "Grasshopper" mech in progress. Stripped old paint. Replaced tiny missing hands with salvaged fists. Repositioned right arm. Add antenna. Ral Partha vintage base. Stabbed pinning wire into my finger. It's still ugly. Maybe a good paint job can save it.
