The US is going to bailout Argentina with your tariff money.

Let that sink in

Horses are often insecure. They don’t want to know who’s boss, they want to know who’s in charge of security.

Anyway:

1. Do not murder people
2. Do not praise the politics of hateful people

That is all
carolina75011.bsky.social
That and another tragedy is that one side also has a hate-filled racist ideology and they get really angry when that is pointed out to them. (“I’m not racist you’re racist.”) Maybe that just brings it back to your point.

Someone shot up my kid's school today, and our governor is paying tribute to a guy who thought that is an acceptable price to pay for having the Second Amendment.

Jared Polis has failed Colorado.

Let me tell you, that’s a weird feeling you never forget. A landmark that seemed permanent disintegrates along with thousands of people and you can’t go home.

24 years ago I was in Paris, on the phone with my mom in Pennsylvania trying to process the news that the twin towers “aren’t there anymore” and that if I needed to get home at that moment, I couldn’t because all air traffic had been indefinitely stopped.

This is the the built-in hypocrisy of the abuser who always sees themselves as the victim. Kirk, the right, the GOP, these people have lost their way while claiming to be the one and only way. I don’t know how we get out of this without a whole lot more ugliness.
carolina75011.bsky.social
But of course zillions of people are pointing this kind of thing out much more pithily this morning.

And b) Kirk wasn’t careful about what *he* said.
carolina75011.bsky.social
And I just wanted to tell him, a) Kirk was kind to *you* dude. Unfortunately that wasn’t enough by itself to make him a kind person.

I heard an interview this morning with a young man who considered Charlie Kirk a mentor and friend and who is just devastated today etc. the guy said Kirk was the kindest person (!) and that “people” really need to be more careful about the things they say. 🧵

Once again, I want to give Michel Martin a standing ovation for her interview this morning of Matt Schlapp and not letting him getting away with castigating NPR and perceived “enemies” of the right without acknowledging his, CPAC’s, and the right’s own role in inflammatory speech.

@pbsnews.org The detentions outside courtrooms have sometimes led to scenes of families pleading to let their loved ones go and confrontations with officers.

Watch the second part of our conversation with a photojournalist who spent weeks documenting arrests at federal facilities in Manhattan.

As another part of the Trump administration's mass deportation push, immigration enforcement officials have conducted arrests outside courtrooms as people show up for hearings.

Here's part of our conversation with a photojournalist who documented arrests at federal facilities in Manhattan.

There are probably some who righteously think they’re doing the right thing and it’s “necessary.” Can’t help the ideologues. But others think they have no choice, they need the money or benefits. There’s always a choice. Quit. Find another way.

I get it, they have bills to pay, families to support, they need health care and housing and education for their kids too. Just like all the rest of us. But it’s not worth your soul.

All I can think is, “so quit. You conscience is screaming at you to quit. So quit.”
