I've been working on this one for a while because it's honestly just really embarrassing, but part of what informs my parenting is how easily I see other adults blame and resent their parents for small things. I want to give my kids as few reasons as possible to hate me. Link in replies.

Are there any older women here? Because I have a lady question: my cycles are suddenly a couple days shorter (31 days to 28 days or so.) I'm still ovulating. Someone tell me this isn't perimenopause I'm only 36 aaaaah

My take on the idea that "boyfriends are embarrassing" is that pretending to be indifferent or hateful toward men is often just another way of signaling that you're hot--so hot that you don't even have to like men to get their attention.

so much of the media view of D/s doesn't understand this; the majority of it is basically giving the sub permission to do what they already wanted to do, giving them a safe and judgement-free zone to want it and do it

I thought I hated being the sexual aggressor because I was unconfident with my body. But even after I learned to love my body, I still hated being the one to initiate sex or (God forbid) REQUEST a sex act for my own enjoyment.
