Anyway the real heroes of Minnesota are the countless volunteers doing boring shifts where nothing happens. The mom of three delivering food to 40 families in her kids’ school. The dad standing at the door of an elementary with a whistle for hours. The drivers endlessly looping, seeing nothing.

What real heroism looks like is you drive past a school and it’s 7am and it’s -3 out and there are four dads posted at every door scanning every passing car to be sure it’s not someone coming to take the children. And you drive by at noon and they’re there. And you drive by at 3pm and they’re there

It's sad to me how much I have to say to people "larger protests and smaller protests are often connected, not competing, both now and in movements throughout history." I feel like we've done a disservice to people by focusing only on the most dramatic parts of protest in our media and education.

No Kings has been absolutely essential to building up the numbers and resources for our ICE watch and is posed to become a direct recruitment platform
There are a bunch of protests on Saturday in smallish Florida towns in parts of the state where you really wouldn't have expected protests in past decades.
For all that parts of this site dumped on No Kings, it seems to have helped build something that's now capable of operating independently.

The Voters found the cure. They're motivated to end Trump and Trumpism now.
Abbott redistricted Texas using Trump's map to give Trump 5 seats. That was a mistake.
Trump got the district ratios of R to D too close.

The Voters found the cure. They're motivated to end Trump and Trumpism now.
