Regarding the two people that CBP shot in Portland, Oregon on Thursday:
The man driving the vehicle is currently in FBI custody after being treated for gunshot wounds to the arm and abdomen. The woman in the car with him who was shot in the chest has already been transported to the ICE detention

A cheap leather jacket is "good enough" protection for your torso from most munitions.
The only other *must have* protection from impact munitions (and this one surprised people) : WEAR BOOTS, not sneakers.
Munitions skip along the ground I've seen people's toes literally explode in sneakers.
