In the concentration camp universe, this is what's known as a filtration camp. A government preemptively takes a whole class of people to interrogate and detain extrajudicially in order to inflict duress on them while arbitrarily assessing their (supposed) culpability.
This is a truly horrifying memo. It says that the policy of the US government will now be to proactively seek out and arrest likely tens of thousands of refugees who entered legally under Biden and subject them to detention, where they will be interrogated about their status.

Real talk for my peeps in their 50s and 60s. As I've watched my mom age, I've learned where I don't want to be when I get older. And the time to act on that is NOW. If you're not someone who exercises regularly, start. For so many reasons. But it doesn't have to be extreme. 1/

Yesterday the 2d Cir allowed 6,100 Syrians to keep their temporary protected status (TPS) pending appeal of order of a a district judge, who'd blocked Kristi Noem's attempt to end it. Could help 350K Haitians in same situation now before DC Circuit. However ...

Judge Rufe says govt has failed to comply with her 2/16 order to restore *forthwith* the slavery exhibits to the [George Washington] President's House in Philadelphia. Orders them restored by 5pm Friday. (Govt has appealed, but has not yet moved for a stay.)
