It's lovely seeing an artist thrive in a community they stole hundreds of dollars from, ignored countless clients, and snuck back in like it never happened. Everyone just..forgot and moved on.

Using "people can change" as a rhetoric to dismiss victims of atrocious behavior makes you look like an apologist.

While it's true that "people can change", remember that it doesn't require you to forgive someone. Nor should forgiveness be the goal of changing for the better - that's just doing the right thing. Nobody should get a pass for doing the bare minimum by making better choices.
