I tried to watch Yuichi Fukuda's adaptation of the manga/anime Under Ninja earlier this year (it was supposed to have a Hollywood premiere) but those LA fires happened and it got canceled. I finally saw it tonight, and it's another pretty decent film from my favorite comedy director.

Like all the other parodies in Treehouse of Horror feel like they at least watched the movies and made an effort to make jokes related to the plot.

Even before everything the HP Simpsons Treehouse of Horror always felt like one of the weakest ones because it felt like they barely tried to make it anything like HP besides having Lisa and Bart's school be a magic school. It just felt like something they were made to do to be topical.
