Honestly, I don't much care about the ICC. I'm glad it exists and got some bad guys, but in general, I am realist about international law: "It works best where it is needed least."
I believe in international institutions, but international law isn't going to save us from great powers being powerful

If we’re blowing ships out of the water in the Caribbean with no care for the rule of law, how can we call out others for doing the same? Actions like this give autocrats like Putin an excuse to justify their own actions. I don't want to return to that sort of dog-eat-dog world, do you?
