What I love even more about this Katie, is that in the comics The 13th Doctor acknowledges that she didn't appreciate Martha enough. It's in Titan Comic's Tale of Two Time Lords. This short is spot on!

RTD addressed this saying that he was retconning Davros's accident to never have happened because it was a bad image on wheelchair users in the TV/movie industry.

I.E. the Doctor went back to save to save kid Davros from the hand minefield to prevent the accident from ever happening.
