Tackle the questions of the past with the tools of the future.

Clemson's Digital History Ph.D. trains historians in computational methods while keeping historical questions central.

Tackle the questions of the past with the tools of the future Today’s historians must make sense of ever-growing volumes of data using digital tools. From text mining and GIS to network analysis and AI, digital history opens new pathways for exploring the past. As born-digital sources become more common, technological fluency is essential—not just for using these tools, but for understanding their biases and limitations.

I don't often post about religion or politics here outside of my research, but both the Latin and Orthodox Patriarchs have announced that their clergy will be staying behind in Gaza City, defying an evacuation order. Please keep them in your prayers.
Gaza: Clergy and aid workers remain in church despite evacuation order | ICN
Gaza City residents were airdropped Israeli leaflets on Tuesday ordering them to evacuate immediately as the government in Tel Aviv said it was about to obliterate the area in an assault to wipe out H...

Politics aside, moving Space Force command to Huntsville makes a lot of sense. I get that y'all think everyone that lives in Alabama is Billy Bob at the liquor store in his stars and bars hat with three teeth, but it takes .5 seconds to google "NASA + Huntsville" and correct your assumptions.

How can Indigenous histories change our understanding of the medieval period?

Solveig Marie Wang shows how medieval stories reveal the Saami at the heart of the Nordic world — and why recognising their history matters in the fight against racism and far-right myths.

Making some decent headway on my summer #DH project-finally to the point of term frequency analysis on a corpus of 17 medieval parish registers. A Latin dictionary hates to see me coming right now. #medievalistbsky #digitalhistory #digitalhumanities

Gwyneth Philips deserved at least Goaltender of the Year, if not both Goaltender of the Year and Rookie of the Year! She is both of these things in my heart! #pwhl

#ehlersdanlos is a very stupid disease because why does a chronic pain condition also come with a low pain threshold?
