I love my community but this pisses me off to no end that our government is failing such a vulnerable people so hard while building a $300M ballroom and giving the top 1% over 10s of billions in tax breaks. I have been on food stamps in the past when I had very little else. Food scarcity is scary.

Love my new job, but the random starts and 12-14 hour splits are very isolating. Just have to wait it out for a year or two to get enough seniority to not be on the extra board of miscellaneous shift coverage.

As temperatures in our US political sphere rise, this is a reminder that joy is a tool of resistance too. As much as we fight, we need to make time for joy and mental reprieve as well when we can.
