Mobile devices (Inc. iPad) should probably use cloud services like Apple iCloud, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.
MacOS can use cloud services, but also Time Machine.
Windows can use cloud services, but other solutions like Veeam Community Edition, Macrium Reflect, and built in utilities.
