A really interesting and helpful article.

When aid to a refugee camp gets cut/is volatile:

1) Hunger gets worse, especially if disbursement of remaining aid is delayed;
2) The informal credit system collapses;
3) Food prices fall with reduced demand, partly mitigating the aid cut shock
