i have a cat i need to rehome, i love him dearly and hes very sweet but hes stressed here and its not good for us or him, one of my other cats seems to not like him and i think thats where the stress starts, when hes stressed he pees outside his litter box, since I've isolated him its not been an issue

his name is birch hes 2 years old and i raised him myself, i found him and his mom and took them off the streets, he wouldnt do good in a shelter but unless i can find him a home myself, which ive had no luck, thats my only choice

please feel free to share this information and these pictures around, if you can get me in contact with someone id owe you forever, birch deserves better, he deserves love, hes shy but hes such a sweet angel and this is breaking my heart

Woke up to quite the update on this. I had been in contact with Payment Cloud about getting their service and they waited until now to hit me with the image below. Again, stringing me along instead of being upfront. They had seen my website multiple times before this.

An image taken from an e-mail from Payment Cloud to me. They list prohibited adult work, one of which just includes "Fantasy" which is as wide as cat ears and fairies. We are so cooked.

The "Chat Control" proposal would mandate scanning of all private digital communications, including encrypted messages and photos. This threatens fundamental privacy rights and digital security for all EU citizens.

Every photo, every message, every file you send will be automatically scanned—without your consent or suspicion. This is not about catching criminals. It is mass surveillance imposed on all 450 million citizens of the European Union.

Mass Surveillance - Every private message, photo, and file scanned automatically: no suspicion required, no exceptions*, even encrypted communications.

Breaking Encryption - Weakening or breaking end-to-end encryption exposes everyone's communications—including sensitive financial, medical, and private data—to hackers, criminals, and hostile actors.

Fundamental Rights - Undermines your fundamental rights to privacy and data protection, as guaranteed by Articles 7 and 8 of the EU Charter—rights considered core to European democratic values.

False Positives - Automated scanners routinely misidentify innocent content, such as vacation photos or private jokes, as illegal, putting ordinary people at risk of false accusations and damaging investigations.

Ineffective Child Protection - Child protection experts and organisations, including the UN, warn that mass surveillance fails to prevent abuse and actually makes children less safe—by weakening security for everyone and diverting resources from proven protective measures.

Global Precedent - Creates a dangerous global precedent enabling authoritarian governments, citing EU policy, to roll out intrusive surveillance at home, undermining privacy and free expression worldwide.

Ugh. Reminder again for Firefox users to visit your about:config page, search for the browser.ml.chat.enabled key, and set that to false:

If yours says true then double-click it until it reads false.

Doing that turns off the AI chatbot features in Firefox, but also the stupid new LLM tab-naming feature that's rolling out
