Three thoughts now that preseason’s over:

1. If you’re keeping Zegras & Michkov together, Dvorak should be in LW
2. Vladar might have a chance at the starting job
3. Luchanko should go back to the OHL

Bonus: York & Drysdale looked excellent in their games. Could be a big year for both.

What an absolute load of horseshit. Outside of the Washington game where he was on his 4th game in 7 days, Abols has been nothing if not consistent.

Roster lock Noah Juulsen on the other hand? The only consistency he's shown is playing poorly.

After his game on Mon, I thought Abols had locked down a roster spot.

But after Tocchet's comments yesterday that he'd like to keep 8 d-men, I'm less confident. Might they send Abols back to start the year to keep Jett?

The only way you can rationally explain Juulsen still having a chance to make this team is if you are dead-set on handedness.

No disrespect to the guy, but he's had a truly awful preseason.

So reading into this lines, it looks like Grebenkin and Ginning are looking good to make the team. I can't imagine Abols isn't on the final roster at least as an extra.

That would leave two battles: Luchanko vs. Gaucher, Juulsen vs. Gilbert.
