Repeating that Peril is VERY cool. Amazing sense of scale and adventure, constantly switching tones.
My only real complaint is that on Normal and even Hard it can be a bit too easy. I'm no Quake god (Mazu's maps in QBJ3 obliterate me) but found Nightmare to be most comfortable for me here.

Today, I've been poking around Peril. Y'know how Quake Brutalist Jam 3 is the biggest Quake community project? Peril, mostly the work of one person, is even bigger.

Story of Thor is a proper 16-bit masterclass visually, and the game's name should probably appear more often in discussions of the best looking games of the era than it does. I grew up with it and sort of take it for granted, but taking a step back it really is gorgeous.
In the early 90s, the increase in cartridge size allowed Ayano Koshiro to give full rein to her artistic talent. This chapter discusses Actraiser 2, Story of Thor, Götzendiener, Terranigma, Lunar Game Gear and Sister Sonic.

Kind of disappointed that Episode 1 backpedals the ending of Half-Life 2, but gameplay wise it was a nice addition.

I was once stopped at an airport while I was carrying a piece of radioactive equipment with me (long story) and I expected the worst.
In the end the radioactive stuff was fine, they just wanted to retain a bottle of paprika sauce that was 50ml over the limit of liquid material 💀 I was dead.

Piss In The Wind is the most Joji album that ever Joji'd.
Short tracks (half of the tracks don't even reach 2 minutes, only one over 3 minutes), pacing al over the place, not a whole lot of structure, lo fi production. Kinda like SMITHEREENS on crack.
