Yeah but these games do not have performance issues or input lag problems on original hardware. They made them worse.
February 14, 2026 at 11:52 AM
Probably because Digital Eclipse did that port originally and wanted to include jt
February 14, 2026 at 11:16 AM
Oh wow, I actually filled this out back in the day. I have that issue lying around here somewhere.
February 14, 2026 at 9:37 AM
Another note - the PC and GBA versions have way less lag on this collection.

It’s wild indeed but at least the Jaguar version now has tolerable music. The original version sounds horrendous in the Jag. The input lag, though, makes me sad.
I am going to live in a cave because of the new Rayman soundtracks. Do not enter my cave.

Seriously?!!!

The only one where I'd say you have a point is Naughty Dog but Bluepoint just had their game cancelled and had to start over on something new (thus NOTHING to show) and SMS shipped Ragnarok three years ago so, uh, it should be pretty obvious that they aren't ready yet either.

Thinking about it, I do feel like the last two weeks show that Sony has learned something from the Jim Ryan years. 3 years ago, State of Play would have been dominated by Horizon: Hunter's Gathering as the 'big' thing. By splitting that off last week, it's positive for everyone IMO.

No, it's not a list to say "hey, they have games" - it's a list to show that pretty much all the studios are occupied or just released something, so what studios are you talking about? I would love to see more stuff too but who is left to reveal something right now? Realistically.

I think they're trying to find ways to make an arcade racer appeal to more people so the story stuff could be a good addition.

Well...

Insomniac - Wolverine
Housemarque - Saros
Sucker Punch - DLC for Yotei
Naughty Dog - Intergalactic
GG - Horizon Hunters
Bend/Bluepoint had cancelled projects and had to restart
Asobi - Shipped Astro Bot last year, too early for new game
SSM - New game, too early to show

Galactic Racer was easily one of the highlights of last night's State of Play. As my buddy @tapirfortuna.bsky.social noted, it looks like Star Wars: Motorstorm. Love the aesthetic, camera work, speed and designs. Hope they nail it!

This seems to be false

What? Where?

What didn’t you like about Halo? It’s not exactly Halo - I just mean it has open fights in large spaces
February 12, 2026 at 8:12 PM
It’s very much that

This game is absolutely nuts and amazing. The original was moderately fun but this is genuinely a gigantic leap. There are also some truly jaw dropping moments within including some wildly unexpected NES and SNES games. I am very happy that something like this was made!
High on Life 2 - the Digital Foundry review, with Oliver Mackenzie and John Linneman. Squanch Games goes big on Unreal Engine 5 features and by and large it pays off, though Series S suffers: youtu.be/auL5HysyTF0

I think it's just a fairly heavy UE5 game so there's not much hope. I'd play on PS5
February 11, 2026 at 12:50 PM
Yeah, it runs really badly on Deck - on the lowest possible settings it's around 23 fps in the first area
February 11, 2026 at 11:51 AM
No, it was just Reshade with one of the CRT filters that produces fine scanlines that look more like an actual VGA monitor rather than a TV (which most CRT filters tend to aim for). I was playing at 330hz so didn't need the beam shader.
February 11, 2026 at 11:26 AM
Thus far it’s been mostly fine. Not perfect but good. Could get worse tho
February 10, 2026 at 6:35 PM
It is not good on Deck. I get around 23 fps in the first area at the lowest settings. It’s UE5 so not light.
February 10, 2026 at 5:03 PM
Uncapped and wildly unstable. The judder is jaw droppingly bad.
February 10, 2026 at 4:51 PM
Yes.
