Last year I was commissioned by Hierophany and Hedge in Covington, KY to do a painting of their store facade, but with more eldritch horrors please. Was happy to oblige :)

The original hangs in the shop and they offer prints!

In the shop windows contains an assortment of odd, esoteric and antique items, including a dummy with a wand and a plague doctor outfit. There are black cats and tentacles everywhere. An autumnal tree stands in front of the shop.

The traditional version of the illustration I painted digitally last year, now as I had first envisioned it :)

The 2nd edition of the Blood Moon Tarot is finally here! This weekend will be the 10 year anniversary of beginning this project, when I started the first painting for the deck. I was very much in the space of The Fool as I began a new adventure.

We are nothingness, and though that may seem frightening, it allows us infinite potential. If we are nothing, we can become anything. This card is one of new beginnings: our first breath, our first choice, our first step in a long journey. The Fool is the hero who must adventure through the unknown and learn the lessons offered in each card of the Major Arcana.”
