In 2023, I managed to slip out before the layoffs hit me, and landed a new role in 2 business days.

In 2024, I managed to secure a new role in 31 days, leaving 3 weeks before those layoffs hit.

Unfortunately, I couldn't keep dancing through the lightning strikes.

I'm now looking for work.

This was not an inevitability.

This is the result of decades of political choices that rig the system in favor of the wealthy and powerful while leaving workers behind.

It does not have to be this way.

A gray wolf was spotted in LA County for the first time in 100 years yesterday. Clearly a big deal.

But on my morning walk thru Los Feliz, this "little wolf" (aka coyote) is giving off "hold my beer" vibes.

I just found out that Kickstarter tries to offer you $5 to give an external company your *bank account username and password* whenever you check out now, whose terms say they'll log in as you in order to look at all of your balances and transactions on a recurring basis???

To be very clear, that lady in the NYT article is not making any money with her hundreds of AI slop books.

She makes money by *convincing people* she makes money that way and getting them to pay her to teach them how to do it.

It's an evolved MLM, and the NYT is helping market it.
