The Trump administration’s deployment of ICE and others in the mass deportation effort has led to more violence and turmoil, and less safety and security for all, including US citizens. But that’s a feature not a bug. The chaos justifies further authoritarian crackdowns. The chaos is the point.

When I was going to UT Austin 2009-2010, the Alamo Drafthouse did this series of '90s singalong nights. Like one for every year. I went to the '99 one with some friends and halfway through I was like "1999 was a fucking terrible and traumatic year for me, what am I doing?"

I was really good at my job, people. I literally got an award two days before I was investigated for Being Nice to Queer People and for saying the word Polyamory. I've had the thought of whether I made a mistake accepting the DRP, but the civil service is a nightmare now. Can't go back!

The fact that I've been applying to jobs since basically the election and I've gotten one single in person interview is just incredible. I just got rejected from that job today, a job I was actually really excited about. OH WELL! Two months until the DRP pay stops!
