It would be impossible to overstate how much I adore Bartók's 5th string quartet. Currently listening to the Takács Quartet recording on repeat. I'm also partial to the Tokyo recoring.

Two notable birds seen today; a Yellow-throated Warbler, seen in Carl Schurz Park and a female Baltimore Oriole, seen in Central Park. Both are late migrants. #birdcpp #NaturePhotography #BirdsOfbluesky #CentralPark #wildlife #centralparkbirds #fallmigration #birds #nybirds

Quick question: do you have the multuiples of 12 memorized, up to 10 x 12? Asking in the context of MIDI note numbers and integer notation, but curious to hear general results.

"I once called Lois on the phone and asked her if she would be willing to fly out to San Diego to perform 'Le Marteau sans maître'...

One of the responses to my post about Larry Summers amounted to "he only pointed to standard deviations." Here's a report on what Summers said. I'd consider what he said pretty disparaging.
