Should we ban the over 65s from social media?

The government are considering banning the elderly from social media as their brains haven't properly developed. But is a ban a step too far?

We can't help but wonder if the world would be a slightly better place if people were as angry about the people who DEFINITELY besmirched the memory of Britain's fallen soldiers, as they are about the people they THINK might have eaten a swan.

9. We’ve become so used to all this that we hardly notice it. But isn’t it extraordinary? Almost everyone wants one thing, and almost everyone who represents us – whether in politics or the media – wants the opposite. Yet we tell ourselves we live in a democracy.

Delicious to me

Did anyone else note that Starmer says he spoke to Trump yesterday and said he welcomed the role he is playing in Gaza?

Pardon? What? He welcomes the post genocidal rebuidling of Gaza as a playground for the rich? Either Starmer is a fool, or he is very dangerous. He might, of course, be both.

Do you want to be vassal states of America, or do you want to be sovereign?

The choices you make at this moment will determine your future for decades.

It's helpful to understand the creation of a Gaza Board of Peace as an attempt to replace key security and peacekeeping functions managed by the UN. It's also helpful to understand the pattern here: given prior attempts to replace UNRWA with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

I understand the pressures on the BBC, but Radio 4's coverage of the Minneapolis shooting is an example of "bad balance".

It's all "the Trump regime says she was a terrorist, but Democrats say it was murder".

The BBC has the footage. It doesn't have to treat truth and falsehood as equally valid.
