Alright. I should bang out a little Christmas shopping today, I think. We'll see how ambitious I'm feeling.

Maybe tomorrow morning we'll wake up and find out happened. Maybe tonight, in the middle of the night, my wife will shake me awake and say, "it happened." It could happen. It can happen. You could do it.

Anna got really into this korean corn dog place lately and I have fallen in love with their kimchi fried rice. It arrives at the door with the fried egg's yolk is still runny, it's got really good bacon in there, and you get two servings worth for like 12 bucks.

I'm at my favorite place in the world: my house.

They're encouraging Spirit Week silly outfits at work, but I'm not going to have a customer come in looking for some cremated remains that got delayed in transit only to find me dressed like the grinch's dog.

If I could provide a proper home for one, I would love to have an octopus in the family.
If you could own one outrageous, unreasonable, absolutely not feasible to own type animal

What would you get

It can be kinda basic (maybe an armadillo or a very unique breed of tarantula or an expensive high maintenance dog) or out there (lions tigers bears oh my)

I would get

...all of them

Corporations like Netflix and HBO are going to buy and trade back catalogs of our most important art like they're Pokémon cards just so they can keep upping the price on streaming services, jam more ads into them, and use the library to make AI slop. Piracy is a more valid moral choice than ever.

If the post office was turning a profit, whose pockets would you think that money was coming from?
The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

RIP Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. An icon. If you wanted a mean ass Asian bad guy in your movie, he would show up and he would crush it. Even in his worst films, he could snarl and sneer his way into being the best part.

After several days of haranguing my mother for any kind of Christmas list, she finally said that she would like a gift certificate to her locally owned nail salon that has no online presence and is located several thousand miles away from me. You're getting flowers, ma. Sorry.

I don't know. I thik since this is coming from the Washington Post (owned by Bezos) I'm going to take this with a grain of salt. They've made this threat during contract negotiations. They don't want to actually be the post office if they can ge the post office to do their work for them.
