FINALLY, Meriam and I can announce that we are working on a new graphic novel, a psychological horror tale set in the breathtaking Tunisian Sahara. The story follows a French-Tunisian man grappling with his dual identity and recounts his journey to reclaim his long hidden Arab-ness.

Meriam & I will be at NYCC & I'm particularly proud that she has her first ever comic con pro pass, just a year after publishing her first graphic novel.

We won't be doing a signing this year but you can still buy TUNIS TO SYDNEY from our publisher, Fairsquare Graphics, at D-29 in Artist Alley.

Creator friends with pro passes going to NYCC - do any of you go the Retailer Day on the Wednesday? I went last year and it was interesting so thinking of popping in tomorrow.

The website states that those with pro passes are welcome but I wonder if technically only retailers are meant to attend?

My life peaked in 1998 after I bought my first MD player in Tokyo. No joke. I’ve never been happier or more excited than in those first few days after I bought it.

I could talk for hours about the informal mentor system that helped me survive in comics for 30 years, but what I really need to say is this --

If you're an established comics creator, part of your responsibility is to help young talent when you can...

Are any of our comic book reviewer or any other industry friends keen to take a look at our "Tunis to Sydney" graphic novel, published last year by Fairsquare Graphics? I can send you a PDF of the entire book. Thank you!
christiancarnouche.bsky.social
Our OGN "Tunis to Sydney" follows a Tunisian-Australian couple & explores the immigrant experience & the concept of 'home'.

Hopefully our book can open up people's minds and hearts to cultures other than their own.

You can order it online or from your local book retailer.
