Laut Vorhersage sinkt die Arbeitslosigkeit demnach in Westdeutschland im kommenden Jahr um 0,4 Prozent, während sie in Ostdeutschland um 1,0 Prozent ansteigt.
„Eine schnellere Erholung von Konsum und Investitionen würde die regionalen Arbeitsmärkte stützen", sagte der IAB-Forscher Rüdiger Wapler. Dämpfend könnten sich neue Handelskonflikte oder geopolitische Spannungen aus-wirken. Zwar zeigten sich vereinzelt positive Entwicklungen, eine Trendwende sei aber nicht in Sicht.
Bayern bleibt demnach mit einer erwarteten Arbeitslosigkeit von 4,0 Prozent das Bundesland mit der niedrigsten Quote.
