is there a direct crosstalk between actin and vimentin intermediate filaments? Our work shows that vimentin promotes actin assembly by stabilizing ATP-subunits at the barbed end.
Fantastic work done by @lilianpaty.bsky.social with @romet-jegou-lab.bsky.social

Gemini doing green-red overlays and shit microscopy. Can't wait for the 2000s revival in papers
I tried an even harder example on Gemini Pro image generation and this is quite scary/amazing. I asked for a microscopy image of around 20 HeLa cells, GFP tagged 20% nuclear, 10% membrane, +1 nuclear staining, + overlap. Image below and prompt in the following post.

The law of the jungle.
Interactions of cells in a collective lead to global rotation.
In 80% of the case HUVEC cells turn clockwise.
How many cells does it take for this to happen?

Light from high-res microscopes can damage cells and limit the study of viral infection cycles.

With a #HealthResearch grant, @henriqueslab.bsky.social (@itqbnova.bsky.social) uses AI to adjust light in real time and boost our understanding of infectious diseases.
