I think many people who postulate about AI’s necessity as a "talent equalizer" (etc.) are more infatuated with the idea of being seen as an artist—with an imposed mythos that usually boils down to personal acclaim and a measure of success within capitalism—than they‘re interesting in making art.

This is why AI is being shoved down our throats. The arts can be transformative, create empathy in society. If art/film/tv/music gets replaced in the mainstream by corporate politically controlled AI “content” it’s just monetized propaganda.
