recovering from my surgical procedure last week has been brutal. the excision was much larger, deeper, and more inconveniently located than I anticipated. also despise being told to just take advil or tylenol to deal with the pain. 💀

I don’t know, I thought after Long Covid effectively ended my chance at a directing career, ruined my health, my energy, my ability to eat a lot of foods, and my body, it would seem pretty obvious why I don’t want to get it again, even going so far as to sacrifice (the horror!) bars and restaurants.

I love recognizing the reference photo in an artist’s study when I’ve also used it as reference. I love seeing many people drawn toward the same image, how each person translates something new and alive in their drawing that is perceptible as them.
