i am certain there is a non-zero population of comics people that wish they were drawing fantasy fiction rn and won't let themselves. i feel like i can sense it in a person sometimes. everyone needs to be drawing fantasy Now. pivot right now

this organisation called Women in Animation came & held a talk at calarts. I was terrified at the idea of my career prospects being eg storyboard revisionist on family guy. later, some guys asked me to draw them a comic & since then everyone around me has just sort of enabled this behaviour

Great mail week! Received these beautiful books by @decassette.bsky.social on Tuesday. Haven’t read any of them yet, because my TBR pile is big but I have flicked through them, and they’re exquisite. Even if I never actually read them, I know I’ll return to them often, just to drink in their beauty.

ok I guess this is positive. ppl are reviewing the .pdf since no-one has added the print book in there as its own item; I'm not doing this myself as this would be a sign of hubris & the gods would surely strike me down

dreamt it was the 22nd already. dreamt I missed the train. woke up looking for my phone so I could book a new ticket home, realised I was already home, fell asleep again & the panic dream continued. dreamt of a council of eels (many species of eels) gathered around a rock outside the airport

actually should I finish the 1st 50 pages & post those as the 1st chunk? that'd be the whole stage-setting half of the comic, before the 2nd half where everything goes to shit & we find out the protagonist/narrator got dropped on his head as a child
