When I'm here in LA and thinking about my Minnesota friends I prefer it to be about how I am missing their company, not worrying for their safety because of a paramilitary occupying force that is proving to be a potentially lethal danger to the community. Stay safe friends. And f*** off ICE.

Fun fact: Monument Valley is a massive outdoor set originally constructed for John Ford's Stagecoach, and left standing for use in countless westerns by Ford and other directors through the 1930s, 40s and 50s. It was designated a Navajo Tribal Park in 1958 and you can still visit it today.

I'm a big fan of the Death of Superman comic book story. No, not the one with Doomsday. The one from 1961, Superman #149, written by co-creator Jerry Siegel. It's at all time classic, and done in a single issue.

I still think about when a Comics editor asked me to redraw a woman in one of my stories to make her more attractive because in his opinion she "looked like Annie Lennox." Given that I considered Annie Lennox one of the most gorgeous women on the planet I wasn't entirely sure how to respond to that.

The scene in #StarTrek II where Kirk visits Spock in his quarters to discuss the situation at the Regula station and Spock convinces him to assume command... that it's *all right* for him to assume command... is my favorite exchange of dialogue between the characters in the entire franchise.

You know, the phrase FAFO (you know what it means) should really get used in a more positive context. Think about it. You get to have sex and you gain knowledge? How is there not at least the possibility that this is a positive experience?

I really wish I could permanently disable the do not disturb feature on my phone. I've never once used it intentionally, but I have repeatedly found that I've missed important calls because my phone had somehow been reset to that mode even though I had not even gone into settings. Grrrrrrr.
