How giddy was I to realize the creepy old corporate guy in Alien: Earth is Adrian Edmondson, aka Vyvyan from The Young Ones??? #cornflakesx10 #mrhelenmucous
Interesting. Prince stated at his 2016 Piano & Mic show at Paisley that he only met DB once. I assumed that was in 1987, when P hosted a party for Bowie & his band when Glass Spider tour came to Twin Cities - a well documented meeting. Both could have happened, I suppose :-)
I can be a fierce apologist for Tonight and Never Let Me Down, yet Tin Machine has always been a bridge too far. I have to say, these 2 episodes cracked my armor. For the first time in decades, I'm willing to give my neglected copy of TM2 another spin. Amlapura really is nice, isn't it?
Natasha Lyonne in the Fantastic Four movie looked like she could have stepped out of a panel from a John Byrne issue of FF.

I could try for Master of the World and not have to lose my beard!
Or it’s that magic moment when he stares into the ark of the covenant, just before his face melts off. Not that I fantasize.
If I planned a cosplay for next year’s @theuncannyexp.bsky.social , who should I go as? I kinda wanna rock my natural hair, but that leaves me with Magneto or Old Man Logan? Suggestions appreciated.
Also, to all the Uncanny Experiencers I've connected with on here over the weekend - hey there! I hope to see you all next year and have more familiar faces to share all the fun with.
My day at @theuncannyexp.bsky.social was more of an Alpha Flight Experience today, thanks to 2 hours of panels by @maconfleetwood.bsky.social and @whynotpodcast.bsky.social, and a whole buncha AF goodies from Excelsior Embroidery! Not bad, eh.

Listened to the episode, and you & Leah mirrored my opinions with frightening accuracy! The content feels appropriately on-theme given past volumes, yet sadly underwhelming considering this is the final box. Even the cover art suggests more whimper than bang. Journey > Destination.
The box art looks like something you'd see on a spinner rack at a gas station. Also, I grabbed up enough special editions the first time around, do I really need a third copy of No Plan? I probably do, it's an illness. The completist in me is already clearing shelf space, sigh...
When I was little, my father took us to see Jimmy Swaggart preach (or whatever he did) at a convention center in Indianapolis. Because it was GA seating, there was a stampede when doors opened and I was separated from my parents and nearly trampled. I was 6 years old. Thoughts & prayers, asshole.
I’ve been a Residents nerd for years and I’ve never even seen this one. @theresidents.bsky.social, is this bootleggage?
