I might finally have obtained a Super Scope through a middleman service in Japan.

Already afraid of how high the shipping costs to Germany will be.

It’s charming until you try to beat all 120 levels without battery backed save. I’ve been there back in the days.

Fortunately, emulation savestates solve that nowadays.

I wrote a long article about Rieko Kodama, her career at Sega, the evolution of her company, the games she worked on (including some canceled games and/or games for which she is not credited), the status of women and working conditions in the video game industry, etc.

Illustration: a portrait of Rieko Kodama with some of the games she has worked on. The dominant colors are yellow, purple and red. Counterclockwise from top left: Rieko Kodama, Alis and Lutz from Phantasy Star, Sonic in a maze, Alex Kidd and his motorbike next to Flicky on a waterfront pier, Joe Musashi and his dog near the Statue of Liberty facing a skyline, the three playable characters from Golden Axe seen from behind on the edge of a cliff, and one of the flying ships from Skies of Arcadia.

I don’t have the energy to keep up, but see quite a lot of doom posting about Bluesky.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how cooked is this site? No explanation needed. (I am tired)

If all Social Media platforms are going bad eventually, might as well go back to the one with the most active Japanese user base. It’s not worth my time to rebuild my socials every few years.

I‘ll probably just move back to X if things go to the shitters here, not sure if I have the energy to build up things from zero again.

Rebecca Heineman needs our help. She’s currently fighting cancer, and I can only imagine how hard that must be. Please consider supporting her.

Rebecca worked on many beloved SNES classics at Interplay -- including Another World, The Lost Vikings, Battle Chess and many more.

Shiren on the DS however… it’s a chefs kiss improvement over the original.
chronomoogle.bsky.social
I don’t like the DS version because the bonus content at the end is so shallow and leaves a bad final impression… hope you can see it somewhat detached from the experience as a whole.

I finally got the N64DD mug scanned in at high resolution (1600dpi 48-bit) and uploaded to IA. You can see the scans here: archive.org/details/64dd... and get a better view of the RandNet icons pictured on it.
A hi resolution scan of a mug. The mug itself has a yellow bar along the top and bottom. In the top bar in white is the letter S with a circle around it. In the bottom bar is Stachara 1999-2000 in white letters. Visible between the yellow bars are 8 columns of 6 icons each. The icons are cartoon-like images of animals, people, gens, a key, skull, party hat, etc. Some are outlined with black lines and others are fuzzy around the edges.
