Dragon Quest 11 has now officially surpassed 9,000,000 units sold! The craziest thing about this statement is that it has now surpassed Final Fantasy 9 & 10 in sales which is just crazy to think about! The only Square Enix RPGs that sold more are FF7OG/8/13/14/15 & NieR Automata.

People trying to algorithmically "solve" entertainment media like it's some kind of magical money making formula instead of something people buy for its artistic merit and storytelling. You know, things require talent and humanity (real humanity, not some arbitary number on a stat menu)
Yeah it was the number of lines hades had that made the game great… not the quality.
With AI we can have twice the number of lines! That makes the game 2x better!

People trying to algorithmically "solve" entertainment media like it's some kind of magical money making formula instead of something people buy for its artistic merit and storytelling. You know, things require talent and humanity (real humanity, not some arbitary number on a stat menu)

I don’t buy into the myth that hardships makes better art. Sometimes art is made in spite of it or in conversation to it, but personally I don’t know how to be creative when I’m sad.

This whole thread. Dooming is a self-fulfilling prophecy. It’s actively harmful to you and it certainly doesn’t help those around you.
Watching doc about resilience that reaffirms many changes I made last few years to my mental outlook (I read a LOT of brain books). Brains are hallucination engines. If the story is the world is shit, everything is fucked, brain reframes every interaction this way. It impacts behavior; shuts us down

Day 8: Favorite Cutscene
Shiva finishing off Ifrit in Final Fantasy XV. Great element of tragedy to it if you pay attention to the lore. Plus the perfect capstone to an incredible, intense boss fight. 14/10 moment in Final Fantasy history for sure

Tactics, bar none. Mix and matching two primary abilities, one reaction command, one support command and one move command to create hybrid classes is ridiculously fun and awesome. Nothing else even comes close.
