Short version: Valve devalued some of the rarest items by adding a path that lets you generate them from cheaper items

They made the game better for actual players, and in so doing, gutted it for investors

You should all be very proud of me. This evening, despite fighting a mystery flu, various bodily aches, and an unrelenting nose-bleed, I managed to unclog a toilet using an unusually small plunger. Nothing can stop me! However, I think I need to have a lie-down now. #adulting #witnessme

I also have a nose-bleed that won't quick, but that seems less like a Con-Flu kinda thing and more like a "when it rains, it pours" situation.
