MIT DCI's funders never had anything to say over bitcoin's course of development. all grants were no-strings-attached to preserve dev neutrality. it is also only one of the organizations for funding development, one which had many funders

Oh my gd.

Musk is fucking insane with this quoted sentence from the press release on SpaceX acquiring xAI.

"This marks not just the next chapter, but the next book in SpaceX and xAI's mission: scaling to make a sentient sun to understand the Universe."

i wasn't able to post during the day at #fosdem, because the bluesky app logged me out *sigh*

the @radicle.xyz talk was real good! it's impressive how much progress they made since last time i looked at the project, and are still making. it's much nearer to being usable by real projects

Oh lord, are we due for another round of TESCREAL discourse?

I tend to agree. If you don't like it from a cancelling perspective I can offer an alternative:

Their models aren't preferred by professionals in most contexts now. They offer less open source materials. Their competitors are offering lower prices.

Ditch OpenAI, if only to spur competition.
ChatGPT is Trump’s biggest donor and is used by ICE. If you don’t like Trump or ICE, you should quit ChatGPT.

actually, epstein's friend peggy siegel reached out to colin callender (the producer of the play), and were helped by rhys kimmitt (unsure of his exact role, but he's an employee of colin's as seen here at the bottom right of the first page: ibdb.blob.core.windows.net/ibdb/media/d...)

firstly, revolutions, as with all wars, are primarily a logistics problem

The FBI was able to access Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson's Signal messages because she used Signal on her work laptop. The laptop accepted Touch ID for authentication, meaning the agents were allowed to require her to unlock it. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Can't say I fully agree with this. Arcade machines were very pricey hardware that you would not have access to at home until 90's home consoles and computers caught up, which is when arcade rooms fell out of favor (in Japan it kept an edge with online/unique control and display systems)
